chinese new years' coming to an end
and i'm still collecting red packets
haha thats good ar

time has been kind on me these days
it's passing at a rate where
i find myself enjoying the little moments in life
and less of the misery of being bored alone
guess everyone has their fair share of life

finally i get to enjoy a long weekend
taking off than ma tmr
the idea of not stepping into camp on monday
mmmmm... mama mia! haha
oh well i worked my ass off for these offs
and i rightfully claiming them tmr!!!

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!
saturday was the best la
slept through the morning and early afternoon
after a night of winnings at jeremy's house on friday
spend the evening having another family reunion dinner
it was the 7th day of the lunar year, so happy birthday everyone :)
and night was ktv and drinks celebrating my cousin's birthday
for which i really dunno whether i regret the drinking part
at 4am i find myself in a room with 3 drunk ladies and 1 dead drunk army boy
oh shit i told myself

sunday started off with disappointments
had to cancel the in between session
coz most of the peeps couldn't make it
and edward broke the news to me!
he can't make it coming friday for our genting trip
thats after i smartly bought the bus ticket :(
oh well, i'm still working on getting jordan to take his place
gotta feeling it's working though lol
still the call is jordan's to make haha
afternoon was meet up with alfee and gang to celebrate his birthday
everyone was late (that's as usual)
but we ended up getting his birthday present at top man
having some simple lunch at pasta mania
and finally, yes thank god finally, we watched Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief
not too bad ar...
as the night fall came
it was to holland road to bai nian at the owner of bangawan solo's house!!!
haha got big red packets there ar
the best thing was i managed to sing a song in exchange for bird nest
where to find such deals haha

For ALAN NGOI
i've never met anyone as steady as my brother here
we just met last saturday at double and
this week when i invite him for another trip there
he cancelled his meetings with has friends
swapped his duty and was all really for it

sorry brother last minute cancelled the double o plan

Happy New Year :)

its chinese new year once again
wad i like about it more the fact that i get red packets
is that its a time for reunions and new blessings
as well as a time for forgiveness and thank yous
so much so that i have decided to delicate this entry
to some special people that i really have to say some special thank yous to
i'm really hoping here that i do not miss anyone out
trust me i'm going through my contacts whilst writing this

this is indeed a rare feeling
today is the kind of day i'm feeling very relaxed
very carefree
fuck the troubles, screw the worries!!!
haha... just have fun walking around, doing shopping

the day started off with joeven picking me up at my house
that meant that i din have to take the bus
get stuck in the jam all the way to camp
that started the day in the right course

next the officers decided to make my day better
by appealing to higher authorities to let us go on off in the afternoon
well of coz which i did and yeah that was great
it was shopping the whole afternoon
visiting joeven's abalone shop
slacking at maple slap creamery
have desserts and tea at ministry of food
wow just in short a hell of a great time

i found a great way to spend my week nights next time
bugis suddenly seem so appealing after i joined membership at MOF today
movie at iluma, go kino get books den dinner + desserts at MOF
WOOHOO!!!~ getting excited already!!! haha

weekends always come and go in a blink of an eye
even back when i was in bmt and
now the same after i got posted out

this week was my first official guard duty experience
it wasn't a really fantastic experience
considering the amount of land i had to cover on foot
not to mention that i'm doing it in the wee hours of the day
still it was a memorable experience
and it also means i'm one less guard duty away from ord haha
guess i'm abit too early for this but still... who cares?!

i couldn't help but went into deep thoughts...
many many times this week
this is the first time i'm having some troubles communicating with pple at work
i can't seem to get my upper study to go into a more friendly state
other then his usual working mood when he explains something impt to me
i'm a person that hates to be left aside alone when there are things to be done
and thats what is happening to me
all i can do is to stand aside in deep thoughts
and watch my upper study go into his working mood
running around the office, getting things done...
"dun worry i'll do it.. you sit down relax first" he'll say
i really hope i'll find a way out soon

growing up really is part and parcel of our lives...

i just came back from a secondary class gathering
though only 6 out of the 40 turned up
we managed to update one another about our current doings
and fill in as much information as we can about others

secondary school wad i recall
was about calling each other nicknames
being lame and the 'hero' in class
and showing off whatever we have

it was really lots of fun giving one another nicknames
Audrey as 'or qui' (as in tortoise) not only because of her name
but more so cause she was always a little slower in reaction
KitMun as 'plasma tv' for her still flat as ever face
Alexius as 'xiao bai' after his chinese surname
ChorPeng always showed off his muscles on his hands
WeiZun was always disturbed for his pronunciation
zero as 'jilo' and milk as 'mulk'
and the list goes on
no one was left out
but i guess everyone has grown up...

most of the guys have served their national service
well some of them like me are in the midst of serving it
ChorPeng became your friendly neighbourhood policemen
i guess he can put those muscles to good use
CheeWen as the guy i noe from secondary was always playful yet fun to be with
and now he's on his way training to become an Officer in the army
i just can't imagine me saluting him when i see him next time
Jackson became a commando
that came as a surprise too initially

it was also comforting to hear that
most of those who gave up on their studies initially
are back to mainstream education
WeiZun moved on from ITE to getting his Diploma now
LiYun who quit school is pursuing her Diploma too
Clarissa just graduated with a Diploma and is working in a restaurant now

and a handful started their own family and got married
like Margaret who became a mother of a cute 2 year old

it's been fun catching up with all of them
i never tot sitting down again with one another
at another place in another time could be so fulfilling

as we took a step back and looked into our past
we found much laughter and joy
many were memories we'll always keep close to us
while the not so great times were all left behind
having the common understanding that whatever we did in the past
especially the not so good stuff were unintentional
and we were just too young at that time

growing up...
i'm beginning to love this process

wad a long fulfilling day indeed
i woke up around 9am
started off the day with 98.7fm whilest on the phone with fu shun
played dragonica half of the morning
went ikea, bought a new chair and lots of other stuff
eventually went out to watch julie & julia with my parents
and ended the day with a great at ah yat seafood restuarant

i really loved the movie
it had alot of lessons to share
from giving life our 100%
to complete everything we start
to treasure the people and things around us
the best thing i like about it was that
the movie was relatively slow in pace and
allowed room for your thoughts to process
no wonder the 5 star rating i guess...

for now
i'm looking forward to tmr's bbq gathering at my place
will be sure to post some photos den

its been official
i just recieved my new posting to my unit
as much as i'm excited abt wad lays ahead
it's always hard on me when it comes to goodbyes

it've not been very long
in fact only 3 weeks of our lives
but the friendships that have forged
and memories will forever be remembered

wonderful times always pass the fastest
but i'm glad the memories stay for life
thanks for coming into my life
and being such a great friend
trust me you guys are a bunch of fantastic people
i hope you enjoyed my company as much as much i did yours

lucky to be in a 8 to 5 unit
gives me time to consider aspects in life
take a step forward and give some thoughts about my life
i'm considering studying part time
get a degree before about the same time i'm out of army
that will be good right haha

looking around for good courses
even asked friends to get me brochures
i'm really determined to do it

life in unit now is getting better
yes i do have alot of tests that tend to stress me out
but i also get to enjoy time with new friends i made over there
proves to me that there are really alot of approachable people around

woah but one thing damn sad
people telling me i'm gaining weight again!!!
wad the hell!!! work so hard in bmt

guess i'll need to put in a little more effort
no more heavy breakfast.. (sorry ninja uncle!)

POP LO!!!

haven been blogging for a long long time
and so many things have happened in my life

graduated from rp
enlisted into the army
went through basic military training
made many good friends
celebrated my 21st birthday
even moved house haha

long journey everyday
but it's 8 to 5 so guess that beats everything haha

but we fail to see that as we are drawing the line around us
we are unconciously making ourselves similar
because at the end of the day
what we really want to achieve...
is moving out of the status quo

sometimes i get tired of thinking what's next
planning my schedules, updating my organiser
meeting datelines, standards and benchmarks

but what else can i do
except to constantly compare
compare myself with other more sucessful people
compare myself with others who can perform much better
because at the end of the day
what i too really want to achieve...
is moving out of the status quo

life may not always bring what we want
we may not always stop at our desired destination
but life always brings us somewhere

it has taught me something important
to believe in myself and trust my instincts
and it takes courage to do so
a quality i dun see lacking in me

so as i count down to my last day of holiday
i'm working hard as usual on the tasks at hand
making sure everything that needs to be done, is done
because at the end of the day

finally i got to watch high school musical 3 today!

it was really a great great laugh
i have always liked the movie
just that this time it got bigger
more cast, more dance, more songs and of coz MORE DRAMA! haha

amongst the fun and laughter
the movie was about choices
looking for opportunities
and making the right move

i guess for the die hard high school musical fans
it's a die die must watch. haha

oh, i also finally send my psp for repairs!
i'm so bored at home now without my psp

finally i got started with my final year project again!
got some parts of my final report planned out
i think i finally got the motivation i need
ok more like i was awaken by my mom
and now i can't seem to get back to sleep!

if i had to sum it up all in one word...
it would have to be 'tiring'
well, in two words...

ugh!!! lacking motivation...

Day 01 of Bangkok Coaching

0530 hours at the airport
just can't sleep the entire night man
look at our bags at the check in point!

2 hours 10 minutes on the plane
was PSP and sleeping the whole way
guess what caught my eye the first thing we landed and left the bangkok airport!

haha. always wanted to ride on one
the trip to the hotel was 30 minutes long
laughters along the way made the ride so enjoyable
speaking of my ride
perhaps a change in taxi colour in singapore

finally, the place where i'm gonna spend 5 days coaching
chulalongkon university!

oh, bong was on the streets in bangkok few days back
and someone randomly passed him this brochure
about the demostrations man

well work was fun
especially getting to know new friends from thailand
people are just naturally friendly and smiley here man
singaporeans should really smile more

some stuff i decided i should do once everyday
#01 learn thai language
so here's lesson one: good morning

#02 get ice cream from hotel lobby, pathumwan princess.
which happens to come with a free cup and all for 80 buats!

shopping is always so much fun, getting new stuff
oh i got a great shirt and a pair of jeans man
and more to come of coz

noe wad makes it so much more enjoyable
snacking along the way! haha.

Day 02 of Bangkok Coaching

today’s day 1 of I Am Gifted camp
woah. almost got up late for work today
but we made it in time. haha
wad can i say man

the day start with the kids finally coming in

all coaching in a different country
working with people for the first time

let's talk about my breaks today! haha

#01 amin gets bored
i dun have to explain too much

yes, the training was on next door! haha.

#02 not only the campers need to take test, trainers need too!
haha. bong just became a trainer few months back
it was his dream man
but the moment he went in, he had to do lots of test
even when he's overseas. no excuses man!

#03 tea breaks or as i love to call them - snacks time!!!
snacks in thailand, 2 words, damn good!
haha. just praying i'm not gaining too much weight again

oh, did i mention, my grand mentor came up!
gary's here!!! haha. means no more snacks for me
and no more of my ice cream deals -.-
oh well, that's his way of showing he cares his dear grand mentee

Day 05 of Bangkok Coaching

4 days into I Am Gifted camp in Bangkok
1 more day to go! haha.

coaching here have been really fun
especially with weird people around me
doing funny stuff and playing lots of games

i miss this game
the 4 legged walk

i'm so impressed with thailand
the people, the language, the place
everything so nice

just look at the foodcourt at the chulalongkorn university!
so power sia

they have tennis tables for the students to play during breaks

even the whole band instructments are just lying there
waiting for people to come along and play!
form a band anyone?! haha

talking about the school
they are having a halloween party! so cool!
haha. too bad i'll have to give it a miss

and look up upon as teachers or mentors
guess wad?! i got it too! haha

oh we went to a different hotel to stay today - the Inn
quite a small place
but it was very cozy and the rooms was quite good actually
dun mind going to thailand and staying there again

here's my room!

dinner was at 10pm thai time
so 11pm singapore time
all the eating places were closed except for the streets and fast food
oh well, being kenneth chan
especially when i'm hanging out with my company people
let's just go for both!!! haha

it was kfc followed by the streets!

today's the last day!
haha i'll be heading home real soom
time for some last minute shopping
and having fun besides coaching

so we went to chatuchak flee market!
and the place was so so big!

bought so many t-shirts there
just too big to finish walking all in one day
but the trip back to the hotel was fun
an adventure indeed taking the sky train

i think i'm so gonna miss bangkok

... ... ... at the airport ... ... ... going home

life has been hectic recently
everything have been moving so much faster den it should be
at least in my eyes they are

3 tests in a week
so much things to study in so little time
well, not implying that i'm the typical chiong kia when it comes to studying
but a guy can complain about such stuff right
and yes. tell me about it
another test tomorrow on environmental education
dun get me wrong
i do love plants and animals
but studying them is just another story altogether

oh at least school have been fun
spending alot of time doing fun stuff
with fun people of coz
and especially after i got something off my mind
it was like a huge rock off my heart now
things got so much easier
even the air smells fresher as i walk to school sometimes. haha

currently working on 2 projects at hand
my final year project of coz
which i just settled phrase 1 of the most important part
and my dearest shl prom night
that i really must take time off to look into it
being part of the first ever shl prom night is no joke indeed
work hard guys!

NorthFace 100k Marathon!!!

think 12 hours of marshalling was tiring?
i had to walk soooooo far to get to my spot!
had to walk through long long grasses

The Executive

As an ENTJ, your primary mode of living is focused externally, where you deal with things rationally and logically. Your secondary mode is internal, where you take things in primarily via your intuition.

ENTJs are natural born leaders. They live in a world of possibilities where they see all sorts challenges to be surmounted, and they want to be the ones responsible for surmounting them. There is not much room for error in the world of the ENTJ. They dislike to see mistakes repeated, and have no patience with inefficiency. ENTJs, like many types, have difficulty seeing things from outside their own perspective. In their personal world, it can make some ENTJs overbearing as spouses or parents.

The ENTJ has a tremendous amount of personal power and presence which will work for them as a force towards achieving their goals. However, this personal power is also an agent of alienation and self-aggrandizement, which the ENTJ would do well to avoid.

ENTJs are very forceful, decisive individuals. They make decisions quickly, and are quick to verbalize their opinions and decisions to the rest of the world. The ENTJ who has not developed their Intuition will make decisions too hastily, without understanding all of the issues and possible solutions. On the other hand, an ENTJ who has not developed their Thinking side will have difficulty applying logic to their insights, and will often make poor decisions. In that case, they may have brilliant ideas and insight into situations, but they may have little skill at determining how to act upon their understanding, or their actions may be inconsistent. An ENTJ who has developed in a generally less than ideal way may become dictatorial and abrasive - intrusively giving orders and direction without a sound reason for doing so, and without consideration for the people involved.

Although ENTJs are not naturally tuned into other people's feelings, these individuals frequently have very strong sentimental streaks. Often these sentiments are very powerful to the ENTJ, although they will likely hide it from general knowledge, believing the feelings to be a weakness. Because the world of feelings and values is not where the ENTJ naturally functions, they may sometimes make value judgments and hold onto submerged emotions which are ill-founded and inappropriate, and will cause them problems - sometimes rather serious problems.

ENTJs love to interact with people. As Extroverts, they're energized and stimulated primarily externally. There's nothing more enjoyable and satisfying to the ENTJ than having a lively, challenging conversation. They especially respect people who are able to stand up to the ENTJ, and argue persuasively for their point of view. There aren't too many people who will do so, however, because the ENTJ is a very forceful and dynamic presence who has a tremendous amount of self-confidence and excellent verbal communication skills. Even the most confident individuals may experience moments of self-doubt when debating a point with an ENTJ.

ENTJs want their home to be beautiful, well-furnished, and efficiently run. They're likely to place much emphasis on their children being well-educated and structured, to desire a congenial and devoted relationship with their spouse. At home, the ENTJ needs to be in charge as much as he or she does in their career. The ENTJ is likely best paired with someone who has a strong self-image, who is also a Thinking type. Because the ENTJ is primarily focused on their careers, some ENTJs have a problem with being constantly absent from home, physically or mentally.

The ENTJ has many gifts which make it possible for them to have a great deal of personal power, if they don't forget to remain balanced in their lives. The are assertive, innovative, long-range thinkers with an excellent ability to translate theories and possibilities into solid plans of action. They are usually tremendously forceful personalities, and have the tools to accomplish whatever goals they set out for.

i'm doing some serious soul searching
it's been sometime since i went into my reflective mood
and it certainly have been fruitful moments everytime i did

life is all about moving on
taking up challenges and facing them in the eye
stepping up to the ball games we get thrown into
and kicking asses everytime something comes along

it's been a long long journey
a long way up this ladder of life indeed
i haven decided on the direction life will bring me
but it has to be the way up
meeting standards, criterias and brenchmarks
it can be tiring sometimes. trust me i noe

i always wan to be this happy bubbly boy
going around making friends
and having a fun time no matter what i do
looking at what life has to offer
getting myself a drink, sit back, relax and enjoy the show
which i am doing, no complains on that
that just maybe it's time kenneth got serious about his life

there are times i begin to doubt my decisions
i begin to feel that i'm putting alot of things on hold for coaching
it's not priority in life, it's not where i wan to be
but it definitely is my passion and something i wan to do

the big picture's not clear, and i'm not sure whether it's worth it
all that matters now is working on who i really am
and at the end of the journey be proud of what i did

i'm walking down a one way street
and i hope to have friends supporting me till the end
giving me support whenever i needed

if i really had that kind of buddies
it would worth more than anything in this world
just enjoy myself, keep that smile on my face
think happy thoughts, have that positive energy
and experience a wonderful time with some great people indeed

it certainly have been some time since i last blog. time for a change in blogging style. sitting in class, watching anime, messaging people and having the fun of my own. camp just ended not long ago, plus a series of weird but fun events. i guess its beginning to pick up one way or another.

i guess it's a guy's thing
saying sorry is never easy
in fact it will never be

ego and pride is always so important
that sometimes it blinds us
from the things that we really dear
we fail to appreciate and apologise
maybe thats why we lose things easily
maybe thats why the saying goes
one have to lose something
to know how to treasure another

its not that simple
guess it's an excuse
is there a different story?
simple or complication situations
whether it is simple or complicated problems
if i think that i've done something wrong
then in end i'd have to say sorry either way
it will just become needlessly worst
if we just simply ignore it

with final year projects
overseas working trips
and i never seem to have managed them well

i really hate to admit it
it's time i do some time management

or maybe i just crave for such attention
to be always under the limelight
but what so wrong this may be

i'm doing my best to live life
not just simply get on with it
i'm pushing hard over every hurdle
not just simply ignore it

for it shall not be in my blood
to forgo what drives me

work is piling up on me lately
maybe i took too much time off

have a huge mood swing today

pressure from my FYP advicer
and a tight date due to meet

couldn't find anyone to empatize my situation

it's true

i hate to say this but it's true

so much ups and downs
makes life really hard to go through sometimes

it's a busy day ahead...
now at Bedok North Secondary coaching
my own secondary school
haha.. so fun to see alot of
people i know still in the school

my whole day is planned out
so are my weeks ahead too
it will be lots of planning
lots of paper work
and lots of reasearch to be done
projects, camps and my own life
